Nice technology with lots of potential. Having worked with Gift and others I'm wondering how this technology would work on documents?
A faxed image of an employment form looks very different from a drivers license. For businesses that store or scan documents it might be convenient to identify document types using the image before or after extracting meta-data with OCR
Thanks for your note and interest in xcavator. Our technology could accomplish this task by setting up image recognition templates to identify the unique backgrounds on different types of documents, which would be separate from the OCR process.
